    1. Anne Marie,
That will require another audit; however and from here, everything will still be just fine.

    2. HI Anne Marie
I emailed Riley Brockington hoping that he can give me a final tally for the Mooney’s Bay Mega-playground. I wonder if the Mayor will still do a public opening on July 1st?
Good question about Sinking Ship’s payment. I’ll ask Riley.

      1. Anne,
Did you get a reply from Mr. Brockington about the payment from Sinking Ships ?
Please let us know when (if) he replies.

  1. Just to start, wow – do I see holes and problems ? Yes, indeed I do.

    – The Client Service audit basically concludes this: the city’s employees, who handle cash, need to retake a training course. How about – – “All I really needed to know I learned in bookkeeping 101”. It concludes that the employees never passed that course the first time around.

    – LRT audit concludes that there are plans. Lots and lots of plans.

Mooney’s Bay audit is the most telling. There are more “howevers” in there than you can shake a stick at. However; I saw no mention of whether the city received any funds from Sinking Ship.

I did; however, like several lines in the Mooney’s Bay report.

    – “…management said that the LACK of transparency … was necessary …”

-“City staff STILL did not take steps to inform Council or the Public …”

-“The investigation found no evidence indicating that the guiding principles and activities outlined in the PES were considered …”

Yep, all looking just fine. :)

  2. Go forth and audit, my son, but please don’t look too deep or find anything too bad.
If you find yourself getting too curious, just take a deep breath. The feeling will pass.
If there are questions that come to mind, just relax ’cause we really don’t want any answers.
Did we get any money towards the park? Why yes we did. It came from the reserve fund. Oh, you mean money from our partner – here have a tea and we’ll get back to you.
