This is a release from the National Capital Commission:

The Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway will be closed to all traffic, in both directions, between the Aviation Parkway and St-Joseph Boulevard from Saturday, October 15, 7 am, until Monday, October 17, 5 am.

The Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway will reopen to regular traffic on Monday, October 17, from 5 am to 9 am.

Afterwards, on Monday, October 17, from 9 am to 3 pm, paving of this section of the Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway will be completed. Flag persons, control signage and traffic cones will be in place to allow one lane of traffic to proceed past the equipment. Motorists can expect significant traffic delays.

Access to the Rockcliffe Flying Club and the Rockcliffe Yacht Club will be maintained during the duration of these works. The Ottawa River Pathway immediately north of the Sir George-Étienne Parkway will not be affected and will remain open.

The National Capital Commission (NCC) urges motorists, cyclists and pedestrians to respect flag persons and signage to ensure their safety.

These closures are necessary to complete the installation of a storm water sewer line under the parkway.

  1. Thank you for the update. My councillor never bothers to send any updates such as this. Fortunately, I have other city councillors that I follow and they do.
