This is a release from CRAFTFEST:
Please find details below and attached press release about this huge CRAFTFEST event in June for Canada 150. There is more info on the website at www.CRAFT-FEST.ca. Admission is free, with any purchases supporting Canadian entrepreneurs.
CRAFTFEST is a 15-day celebration of made-in-Canada goods and the people who make them, featuring over 150 local artist-entrepreneurs. It takes place at Zibi on Albert Island overlooking the Ottawa River from June 11 to 25.
Elements will include a Popup Shop with a cafe/lounge, over 25 scheduled DIY Workshops, a craft beer sampling day with Beyond the Pale on June 11, and an outdoor movie with Canadian Heritage Minute trailers on June 17. There is expanded outdoor Weekend Markets on June 17-18, and 24-25, including food + drink vendors. It’s the ultimate place to shop local for our nation’s 150th birthday!
To keep the momentum after the event, CRAFTFEST will promote Buy Canadian Day on June 25. Festival goers can pickup a map of stores in Ottawa that sell made-in-Canada goods in at least 10 different BIA’s, where they can shop and save the HST on June 25 across the city.
