  1. Looks like Naqvi is done. Guess he was desperate in separating himself from Wynne. Liberals aren’t likely to forget that. k

      1. Wonder what he does next. Was close to becoming premier. Not now. He’s still a young man and he has to make a big career decision. k

        1. He could go back to practicing law or teaching. He’s young enough that a political comeback is still possible in the future. I can’t see him going the corporate route.
Maybe he’ll take on Watson for mayor. That would be an interesting race – I think he’d find lots of support from people who are fed up with Watson.

  2. Wow, the results came in fast. Guess I get to go to bed at 10 after all.
    Good night.
Maybe I’ll be like Bob Newhart. I’ll wake up in the morning and discover it was just a dream.

  3. With electronic voting, I’m surprised the results are coming in so slowly. I thought we would have all the polls in locally. k

  4. Well no one will confuse his speech with “I have a dream”.

He said almost nothing. Lots of words but little content. Like his campaign.

    Like his government. k

    1. Come on Ken, let’s criticize his governing after he starts governing.

You’re starting to sound like an NDP strategist.

      1. Kosmo:

I’m just looking at his record of deportment. Brutal. I wouldn’t hire him to deliver newspapers.

He offered everything to everyone. Cut taxes, better health care and more long-term beds.

        Really?

The figures if there were ever any, don’t add up. You can’t have everything and more and cut personal and corporate taxes.

I’m “For The People.” Sounds like Huey Long. “For The People” means absolutely nothing.

        Wake up.

        cheers

  5. Hell of a speech from Kathleen Wynne.
She remembered that Ontario speaks French, too.
But she looked back at some very good things the Liberals did over the last 15 years … and overlooked some of the bad things.
Had she spoken this well in the past, Wynne might still be premier.
Very classy. I hope she finds something valuable to do in the future. She has great spirit.
A good loser. Something to be envied.

    cheers

    1. Maybe they should – then they and the NDP can all stay at home. IT’S A MAJORITY GOVERNMENT, opposition status is useless. Loose the bulldozers – Fordrump has arrived..

      1. Chaz. The Ontario election that just took place reminded me of the last presidential election in the US where the choices were Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. No good options there. In Ontario it was either Trump north or the Bobbsey Twins. Ditto with regards to options.

    2. Is that an option? It could be the only way for the Greens to get a chance to speak in the legislature and would get them some research dollars as well. They would have to be very careful what they agreed to in any coalition set-up since it could well come back to bite them.

  6. Well, so some think that the guy who fought with the chief of police about a nonexistent drug video (‘cept the video did exist) and who fought with reporters and who now is fighting his sister-in-law is, somehow, going to fight for the little guy.

Fight with the poorest of Ontarians will be more like it.
