Believe it was reported that an Amazon Executive was in Ottawa today and addressed business people.
    Our Mayor is where?
    The ‘crazy’ continues…

    Fed Up Voter,
The weirdness goes on and on.
Did you see Mr. Patton’s comment about the Mayor’s trip being paid for by the World Tourism Cities Federation?
    Ya just gotta luv it.

Perhaps Amazon quietly paid for the trip, so their executive could arrive here and talk to the Ottawa business people thus avoiding the Mayor.

    Dear Fed Up,
That last remark was just plain evil. :)

Here’s a bit of reading about Amazon. Somewhat dry but it made me laugh.

( I have already opined elsewhere that Amazon is no more than a glorified general store and they are a bit too paternalistic for my liking. I also said not to worry about them coming to Ottawa – ’cause they ain’t. )

Here is a bit of reading about Fortune-telling & Economic Theory :

Today Forbes article by Hersh Shefrin
“Credit Suisse’s MISTAKEN Amazon Valuation Is But the Tip of the Iceberg”

    Chaz:

Appreciate your comment but if you are pointing readers to a story, you must put in the URL.

There is also a linking button above so that readers can simply click on it to get to the story.

Readers are not going to Google Forbes, then run around in Forbes to find the article you want them to read. The Internet doesn’t work that way.

Readers will just go on to the next reply or leave.

Looking forward to your help on this.

    cheers

    Ken,
Once upon a time I had to get up off the chesterfield and walk across the front-room just to change the volume on the TV.

Today, people can’t get up off their chair to go to the store and from your comment they can’t even be bothered to type in the title of an article.

    skoal,
    Chaz :)

    Ken,
I don’t have any idea what the ‘linking button above’ is.

If someone is interested, all they need to do is google the title of the article within the quotes as shown.

If a reader can’t do that, then I certainly can’t type in https#$%^&&&^%$@ etc.

    sorry.

    Chaz:

The box that you write in.

It has a button with the word link on it. That’s the linking button.

Highlight the type you want to have your reader click on. Press the link button. Put the URL in it. Hit add link. It’s linked.

    You’re done.

    cheers

    Ken,

I found it, along with ‘B’ ‘i’ ‘b-quote’ ‘del’ ‘img’ ‘ul’ ‘ol’ ‘li’ ‘code’ ‘close tags’

AND, I ain’t gonna ask what any of those mean. :)

    skoal,
    Chaz

    – in the future I’ll just keep my reading list to myself.

If the topic interests me sufficiently, I will do a search. However, a link is mighty nice:).
Like Chaz, am wondering what the other boxes do?
