At some point during our school days we all studied Greek and Roman history. So the name Nero, the last Roman emperor of the Julio-Claudian dynasty, should be familiar to everyone. And I’m sure that when we hear his name we visualize a man wearing a toga and playing a violin while Rome burns at his feet.

I think Mayor Jim Watson is a man we might compare to Nero although I’m not certain how I would picture him; playing a tuba atop the new Chateau Laurier, or wearing a bandanna and running from teenagers with guns, or grinning while he chomps down a big carrot muffin, or . . .

    Sisco,
Hey, you are giving Nero a bad rap by lumping him in with his lairdship.
