Let’s not talk about invading a country that didn’t blow up the WTC nor have WMD’s. Let’s not talk about Nam or going to Korea before there was a UN resolution. Let’s not even talk about trade wars.
Let us, instead, look upon a War Against Civility and Human Decency.
Even if one loves tariffs, thinks the Iran deal sucked ,doesn’t give two hoots about the Paris Accord , doesn’t mind vulgar language, couldn’t care less about Nazis parading in the streets and thinks calling our PM out is fine ; there surely must be one thing we can see. Wars against everything from drugs to trade do not compare to a war against humanity.
Lock up those kids in cages – way to go. That will teach ’em a lesson.
And now let’s move on and threaten to withdraw from the UN Human Rights Council.
Way to go there U.S.A.. Civilization is a fragile thing and you are doing a great job of ignoring the little things that make up that thin veil that covers the beasts within.

I’m suggesting Ivanka read The Boy in the Bubble rather than Donnie just listening to it because it contains ever so many words and some will have to be explained to him. Plus he would probably fly into a rage if he heard Paul Simon’s voice – after all, didn’t Simon recently apologize to Canadians for his president’s behaviour towards us?June 23, 2018 at 4:10 PM #754104
P.S. Many of the children aren’t actually Mexican but came through Mexico from various points in Central and South America en route to the US. This complicates their potential re-unification since the parents are, in some cases, being returned to places with limited communication mechanisms. How do you get your child back if you are in an isolated hillside village in Central America with no access to legal services, no cell phones and a government that a) does not have good relations with the US and b) sees you as a traitor or worse? That’s in addition to whatever situation made you flee for your life in the first place.June 23, 2018 at 10:18 PM #754117
As a brief explanation to those who have not heard or listened to The Boy in the Bottle, the plot breaks down as follows. Mankind has moved forward technologically in many ways and at a growing pace as time passes while as a species we still haven’t figured out how to help one another and bond into a more superior entity (my interpretation). Until we can accomplish this we will never meet our potential and will likely disappear from the face of the planet one way or another like so many other species before us.
