    This one is rich.

Mayor Jim Watson is telling Senators’ owner Eugene Melnyk how to run his hockey team.

Melnyk became a billionaire, owns one of only 31 NHL franchises in the world, and has powered his Senators team within one goal in double overtime of the Stanley Cup final.

Watson, on the other hand, has lived a life at the government tit, botched the baseball file, botched the Lansdowne trickle of money, built the largest operating deficit in municipal history, treated the 2018 budget like a joke to the extent that an unprecedented appeal has been launched on it at Queen’s Park and what he knows about hockey could be put in a thimble with space left over for a Timbit.

If Watson is giving you business advice (and particularly sports advice), run screaming in the other direction.
