Well, let’s see.
There’s the French community on language and the shelter.
Rural folks who resent paying a storm-water fee.
The residents of Barrhaven and Kanata who are paying billions to not get light rail to their communities when it could have been completed and running to those suburbs in 2014.
Downtown residents who are sick of zoning being ignored for huge condos.
There’s a start.

Add to the list the residents who think that we need to address the guns and gangs problem with solutions pointed at today’s safety issues, in addition to, but in priority of, the proposed first semester sociology course rhetoric about needing long term, unmeasurable, feel good diversion programs.November 22, 2017 at 11:50 AM #739967
The people who think Lansdowne Live was a terrible deal for taxpayers?
The people who think the city’s 150 celebrations were far too much of an opportunity for Watson to send out news releases with his name in the lede?
The people with family members in city-operated extended care facilities?

Just had to:
Lede – mid 20th century neologism from a deliberate misspelling of lead, intended to avoid confusion with its homograph meaning a strip of type metal used for positioning type in the frame.
Lede -(chiefly US journalism) The introductory paragraph of a newspaper or other news article.
In 1990, William Safire was still able to say that “lede” was jargon.

Environmentalists/conservationists who have, under Jim Watson’s tutelage, seen the adoption of a toothless Environmental Strategy, a toothless Protection of Wildlife during Construction “Protocol” and — to come soon — a toothless Site Alteration By-law.
The recently adopted Urban Forestry Strategy could be of another kind, but it’s too early to tell.January 14, 2018 at 4:37 PM #742785January 15, 2018 at 6:58 AM #742796January 15, 2018 at 12:01 PM #742820
