Frequent Bulldog contributor The Voter catches Mayor Jim Watson up in this email:

Jim’s response, quoted in the Citizen, to Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne’s proposed changes to rent control was that it should have been done “some time ago”.

Possibly when he was Minister of Housing from 2007 to 2009 when he resigned to come back and run for the mayor’s chair?

  1. So, he was the main man, “some time ago”, when it came to housing. He just wasn’t referring to “some time ago” as being the “some time ago” when he was the man that could have done something. Obviously, “some time ago” has an expiry date that doesn’t go back to his time as Minister of Housing.

Let’s borrow a little Jim Croce:

If I could save time in a bottle
The first thing that I’d like to do
Is to forget all the things that I didn’t do
And present them as history to you

    skoal,
    Chaz
