Jim Watson’s Photo Page Moves To OBJ

rick.chiarelli.ad

The Jim-Watson-Grip-And-Grin-Photo-Page, in its current form at least, is moving to the Ottawa Business Journal from the Ottawa Citizen.

In case you’re not sure what that is … it’s the society page where you see highest echelons of Ottawa society standing and smiling at events in pictures between our mayor. No word if Watson photo-bombs society pictures as well.

Actually it’s a pretty good fit for the OBJ because those society figures are often business figures. The question is can business figures wiggle their way into a page that fits the Watson mold perfectly. Here is the OBJ:

To help readers stay on top of these and other high-profile happenings, OBJ is launching multimedia coverage of the social scene with a veteran columnist.

Dedicated sections in the OBJ newspaper and website features coverage of the galas, fundraisers, soirees and other social events taking place around the city.

That coverage – which already includes photo slideshows, short videos and articles – will be further expanded next month when a new web destination, OBJ.social, debuts on April 3. An e-mail newsletter will begin on April 17.

The coverage will be spearheaded by longtime social columnist Caroline Phillips, who worked at the Ottawa Citizen for more than a decade.

We know someone who will be shaving especially closely for those OBJ tight-shots. And he is …

Watson
