This is a release from Karin Howard:

Following discussions with the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario and the local Electoral District Association, Karin Howard is delighted to announce she has received the go ahead to seek the nomination for becoming the PC candidate in Ottawa South for the next Provincial election.

“I am honoured to be in the running to be the candidate here in my home riding of Ottawa South. I have a long history of serving the community as a city councilor, an advocate for good government and a leader in fighting for justice and fairness in decisions impacting the residents of this riding,” Howard said on learning of her nomination approval.

A number of prominent community leaders were also delighted to learn of Howard’s bid to become the candidate.

Claude Bennett, a former Minister in a PC Government and MPP for Ottawa South commented “I have known Karin for many years and I believe she will be an excellent MPP come the next Provincial election currently scheduled for June of next year. She has integrity, is a hard worker and will serve all residents extremely well in the legislature.”

According to Don Dickson, an Ottawa South management consultant and business owner, “Karin Howard understands the concerns of the community and will fight for what’s right – sound management of health care and education, elimination of costly hydro fiascos and control of growth in provincial government spending. In my view, Karin will bring a thoughtful, balanced, fiscally prudent approach to Queen’s Park and help return our province to a responsible PC government in the next election.”

A lawyer by profession, a wife and mother of three wonderful children and a proven community leadership track record are what define Karin Howard and her bid to be the PC candidate. Members of the PC Party residing in Ottawa South will have the opportunity to elect Karin as the candidate at a nomination meeting on June 25th, 2017 at the Jim Durrell Centre on Walkley Road.
