Last Meeting On Baseline Bus Corridor

This is a release from the City of Ottawa:

The City of Ottawa invites residents to the final open house to discuss the recommended plan for the Baseline Road Bus Rapid Transit Corridor (Bayshore Station to Heron Station) Environmental Assessment Study.

The recommended plan includes dedicated bus lanes, general traffic lanes and new walking and cycling facilities along the corridor, while providing connection to Bayshore Station, Baseline Station, Confederation O-Train Station and Heron Station.

The open house will take place at the Nepean Sportsplex (Halls A and B), 1701 Woodroffe Avenue on Wednesday, October 5, from 6 to 9 p.m., including a presentation at 7 p.m.

This is an opportunity to receive an update on the study’s progress and to learn about the recommended plan for the corridor. Residents will be able to discuss the project with the study team.

  1. I realize that some elected officials will attend something like this. It really should be mandatory for them though so they can hear first-hand what people are saying. The project team has a model they’re recommending and resident responses shouldn’t be filtered through them.
