For over two decades, Mauril Bélanger demonstrated his dedication and commitment to both the constituents of Ottawa-Vanier, and to Canadians.
He will be remembered as one of the greatest advocates for promoting francophone rights and linguistic duality, and for fighting for a more fair and inclusive society. Despite his illness,Mauril remained a strong and courageous voice for those who needed one. We offer our deepest condolences to his family, friends and community. He was both a colleague and a friend to those that were fortunate enough to work with him. His contributions will never be forgotten, and he will be greatly missed.
