Sunnyside Library To Close Twice For Renos

This is a release from the City of Ottawa:

The Sunnyside branch of the Ottawa Public Library will be closed over two periods this spring and summer for improvements. The first closure is from Monday, May 8 to Thursday, May 18, inclusive. The branch will reopen on Friday, May 19.

During the closures, the branch will be converted to Radio-Frequency Identification technology or RFID, and will receive a new point of service.

Temporary book drops will be available during the closure.

The branch will be closed again in late June to complete RFID conversion. Dates of this second closure are to be confirmed.

For access to Library services during the closure, the nearest branches are Alta Vista (2516 Alta Vista Drive) and Main (120 Metcalfe Street).
