Where’s Watson On The Civic?

Mayor Jim Watson has spent much of his political career criticizing, fighting with, attempting to dismantle or trying to join the National Capital Commission.

So now that Watson has achieved his most recent goal of becoming a non-voting member of the NCC board, where has he been on one of the most important debates in recent Ottawa history?

Watson has been as quiet as a good little Liberal doobie on the location of the Ottawa Hospital Civic campus.

Isn’t he supposed to be the fiery champion of Ottawa’s citizenry when he crossed the moat to the NCC?

Perhaps not. Maybe a little unwise to criticize his Liberal betters.

Could this be a sign Watson wants to run federally next time out?

  1. I just finished watching the game this evening and I spotted Mayor Jimbo congratulating the RedBlack players at field level follow the big win.
