Doug Ford Handles The Americans
Well here’s something your agent doesn’t get to say very often.
Good on you, Doug Ford.
There … I said it … and was not struck down dead.
While a number of other politicians have waffled around dealing with president-elect Donald Trump (fearing to offend), Ford has been upfront on Fox News Network and other outlets saying “Canada is not for sale.” Even wore it on a hat the other day.
Shame on the other pols. Who knew it would be a liability to be a patriot in Canada?
Ford has been polite, quick to remind people that he lived in the U.S. and has many friends south of the border, didn’t blow an engine when a Fox News type said it would be a “privilege” to join the U.S., and said quietly but firmly that Ontario might have to pull the plug on about a million Americans’ electricity.
If Americans want to act like idiots against their own best interests, thank goodness Canada has a point man from its most populated province to stand up for the country. Where is the federal government? And worse, what’s with Alberta? Country or oil? Albertans go with oil?
A “privilege” to join the U.S.? Americans are drinking their own bath water. Guns, guns, guns. Mass killings. No universal health care. A country run by the self-centred and wild Trump. A country moving backward rather than forward.
Americans should look at what they have and understand why Canadians overwhelmingly want to remain Canadians.

The other day I noted that DumbOld Trumpf is nothing more than an expansionist. But I looked into the crystal ball and “eenie meenie chillee beenee” found a second reason DumbOld wants to claim Canada and Greenland and it’s NOT part of a grand economic plan. If he’s planning to run immigrants, beginning with the illegal ones, out of the US he has to have somewhere to send them. Guess where? And without parkas, in January.
I have one problem with that hat — Trump is not interested in buying Canada, he wants to steal it.
Full marks to Ford – but could this be a Trump-type defection? Rally his troops and the province behind him with a pending Ontario election. “Yeah we don’t like the guy – at all – but he’s fighting for our country.”
