Solving problems starts with identifying the problem.

How big is the problem? What represents a satisfactory reduction in the ‘problem’ to alleviate the perceived concerns?

I say perceived, because we are hearing very little in the way of numbers. The White House has not cited any numbers in the public realm. Canada’s position is that about one per cent of the illegal immigrants and fentanyl entering the U.S. comes through its border with the U.S. Based on what data set?

Therein the real problem lies. No meaningful public discourse, just accusations based on perceptions. Or is that deceptions?

Ron Benn, a finance executive, has been a member of the Centrepointe Community Association for the better part of three decades.
