Sutcliffe Should Talk Ottawa, Not Trump: PATTON
Mayor Mark Sutcliffe went to Washington to talk Trump and accomplished nothing, Bulldog commentator Mike Patton says.

On the bright side at least the trip to Washington was less costly than last year’s adventure in London. But seriously, Dumbold Trumpf is right when he says he’ll decide the results of our provincial and federal elections. All Canadian politicians are so centred on the Trumpf-effect that they’ve left other important concerns, like immigration, off the table or turned them into secondary issues. The one-man disaster indeed.
It’s a diversion plan to get our minds off Tewin and Lansdowne. Look, shiny!
Do Sutcliffe & Co. not begin to see a pattern emerging here? He went to the feds and the province begging, to no avail, for money to right the books of the Good Ship Ottawa. Last seen, that vessel was still floundering. Now he doubles down on the “Sutcliffe as Saviour” modus operandi to fly into the belly of the beast to take on the evil dragon, Trump, in his lair. Again to no purpose.
Did he go alone to Washington or was he accompanied by an entourage? Did he fly economy or business class? If it was an overnight trip, where did he stay and at what cost? What was paid for food, drink and hospitality? How much was the glass of orange juice?
We need to see what was spent on this trip. It won’t be hard to identify what that money could have been better spent on here at home.
Mark Sutcliffe, the Mayor who couldn’t win for losing! Which windmill will he be tilting at next?
