Better Bus Service Or I’m Gone: READER
That said, this reader wants a better OC Transpo.
From Bluesky:
I expect minor disruptions, not chaos. I found an OC Transpo flyer in my mail that clearly explained the changes to my local bus service. I also learned about other service changes which may make me consider busing more. However, if inconsistent service persists I’ll continue to avoid the bus.

Sorry, a flyer in your mailbox isn’t going to make the bus system work properly. My point was to expect chaos on the first weekday of the new system. They are making massive changes to the majority of the trips around the city and many people won’t have been properly prepared.
In addition, as with every new thing that OC Transpo has tried, whether buses or trains, there will be elements that simply don’t work. There will be buses that don’t appear or are significantly late. Connections will not connect and even those routes that have not been changed will be affected.
Are you truly expecting that OC Transpo can deliver major change without a hitch? I’m interested to see that you appear to say you currently avoid the bus and, if the service doesn’t demonstrate consistency, you’ll continue to do so. If that’s your opinion of the bus service, why are you expecting that the leopard that is OC Transpo is about to change its spots and offer a reliable, efficient bus service?
They continue the same behaviour – why do you expect a different outcome? I believe people call that ‘insanity’.
If Renee Amilcar’s latest shell game doesn’t work I wonder what she’ll conjure up next and at what cost (by the way, Renee, the little bilingual cardboard train that appeared in my mailbox is very cute). She’ll need a top-notch magician who can get everyone to look left while she makes a quick dash stage right.
