In the urban area we have been trying to bring reason into this Terrible decision to soul source and to build housing In our beautiful city park, and make both the Stadium and rink much smaller, and reduce the parks green-space. There is 40 years of life or more in Lansdowne (engineers report) if we just fix it! We need suburban and rural taxpayers to stop their councillors from voting with developers at taxpayers and sports fans expense.
The city that fun deserted indeed. Certainly there are enough professional engineers in Ottawa with the skills to address this problem. If not it would be an excellent Co-op project for students at Carleton University.
The good news is: if the city builds a smaller arena the games will still be sold out…
