Just a few days after Mayor Mark Sutcliffe announced his transit plan, LRT Lines 1 and 4 went down on the weekend.

Never a better opportunity for opponent Jeff Leiper to hold a press conference and decry one more problem of many with the city’s troubled transit system. Except, uOttawa Professor Evan Potter says, he didn’t.

And in the video below, Leiper forgets to put the subject of his yarn upfront. He leads with weather and tulips. Lame. It’s a beautiful day in the neighbourhood and, oh yeah, something stopped working.
