While I agree on the shameful condition of Bank Street north of the Queensway, I can’t see a new arena on the Flats making much difference to that stretch. How wide is the net currently spread from the Canadian Tire Centre in Kanata? There may be some bars and restaurants that get spillover business on game days or when there are shows booked into the CTC.
Centretown north of Somerset might get some arena-related traffic but I doubt there’d be much of a bump south of Somerset. That would include Preston as well as Bank. The effect is more likely to spill over into Hintonburg and Westboro rather than Bank, particularly for people coming/going from or to the west end.
Where is Bank and Gladstone, for instance, on your way to or from in relation to Lebreton?
