It amazes me that people like Barrack Obama and Kamala Harris speak with such eloquence yet in their last election Americans voted for DumbOld Trumpf who can barely string together a subject, verb and object. And when he does it is only to remind everyone how wonderful he is. Hopefully statesmanship will return soon and the dire straights in which we currently find ourselves are in the distant past.
I noticed PP among the assembled multitude – I wonder how in tune he found himself with the messages Barack Obama was sharing. He certainly wasn’t the first on his feet for the standing ovations his colleagues in the room were giving.
Like Sisco, I was struck by the difference between a man who can not only speak in complete and logical sentences but can talk about something other than himself as compared to Mr Trump. It’s truly fortunate that we don’t invite every American president to address Parliament. Let’s hope that Mr Carney can keep the current edition at bay.
