CTV News Uncovers Breaking Story: WHOPPER WATCH
“Sunset now before 8 p.m. in Ottawa”
Headline on CTV News Ottawa
Oh, the horror.
Who saw this coming? Has this ever occurred before? Did anyone expect this to happen? Can you predict this sort of thing?
How did CTV News Ottawa discover this? Did the news outlet use a team of investigative reporters?
What’s worse, The Bulldog Hard News Hit Team (pictured on the front) was put on the case and found even more breaking news.
This terrifying trend will occur until Dec. 21 when the sun will slip under the horizon at 4:23 p.m. But there is hope Days will continue to get longer from that point. Civilization, as we know it, will be saved.
The Hit Team also discovered other breaking stuff. At the time of the winter solstice, even more unusual events are expected to occur.
Potholes on roads will be filled. The city will use cement rather than asphalt to repair sidewalks. LRT Stage 2 will be finished and running. Kanata South Councillor Allan Hubley will be reprimanded for something but the Hit Team has yet to discover what this is because he hasn’t done it yet . Pigs will fly.
How did CTV News miss all this?
Even more is expected. People will get cold in the winter. A pandemic of chapped lips will ensue. Snow, yes, snow. Ice, yes, ice. Residents will wear cute little mittens in the dark.
Oh the humanity.

Can you imagine a media story on the autocratic moves by Premier Ford? No one has painted the complete picture…cutting qards during a Toronto election, trying to control the OPP and trying to give Mayors the right to control appointment of police chief, changing a majority vote to a 1/3 vote in City Councils to allow Mayors to rule cities, cutting citizen and community rights to have any say on development projects or their local school systems, cutting billions from education including university education and health, and changing public service appointments from merit based to party based and controlling the judicial system by taking control of judicial appointments. Read Time Snyder “On Tyranny” to understand how many tick marks have already been reached to call this government tyrannical. But good to know about this daylight thing,
I would like to see the city’s standards for road and sidewalk maintenance and renewal; i.e. at what stage does a patchwork quilt need to be pulled up and replaced? Does the city in fact ever replace sidewalks and curbs?
