Line 1 LRT Start Delayed Feb. 9

This is a release from the City of Ottawa:

O-Train Line 1 service adjustment for Stage 2  work on February 9

Date: January 31, 2025

This memo is to inform the Mayor and Members of Council that O-Train Line 1 service will  launch at 11 am on Sunday, February 9, to allow for planned Stage 2 work.

For customers, this means that on Sunday, February 9:

• O-Train Line 1 service will launch by 11 am.

• R1 bus service will operate between Tunney’s Pasture and Blair stations from 8 am to 11:30 am.

• In addition to R1 buses, shuttle bus service will run between St-Laurent and Cyrville  stations, and between Lees Station and Mackenzie King Bridge, during the closure. • If work is completed ahead of schedule, Line 1 service may launch earlier than 11 am. R1  service will continue to run until 11:30 am to accommodate all customers.

>

This temporary closure is required for Stage 2 systems integration, in preparation for Line 1  service to be extended from Blair Station to Trim Station as part of the O-Train East extension. This planned work will take place overnight on February 8 and in the morning on February 9 to  minimize impacts to customers.

OC Transpo understands that this service adjustment is disruptive and thanks customers for  their ongoing patience as work progresses on the East extension.

Information, reminders, and updates will be communicated through various channels, including  public service announcements, customer alerts, social media updates, signage at Line 1  stations, and on octranspo.com.

Customers can visit octranspo.com for travel planning assistance or call 613-560-5000.  Schedules are available by calling 613-560-1000 or texting 560560 plus the bus stop number.
