LRT: Blair Road, Hwy. 174 Ramp Open Again
This is a release from the City of Ottawa:
—
Mayor and Members of Council,
This email is to provide an update on repairs to the gas line damaged by a vehicle collision near Blair Station.
O-Train Line 1 service started on time this morning and is operating as planned with all platforms at Blair Station in service.
Overnight, Rideau Transit Maintenance (RTM) was able to complete the necessary repairs to the gas line. Once repairs were completed, all the necessary tests and inspections were completed by Enbridge Gas. All switch heaters near Blair Station were safely powered on and are now fully functional.
RTM was also able to remove their equipment from the impacted area and the Blair Road on-ramp to the westbound 174 has fully reopened before the start of the morning commute.
Thank you to all the teams involved in the rapid response to address this issue.
Thank you.

I notice that Renee Amilcar didn’t sign her name at the bottom of this memo. Is she finally letting the people who actually solved the problem take credit for their hard work?
