MacLeod Says No To Run For Ottawa Mayor
You can put to bed all that speculation that former Ontario cabinet minister Lisa MacLeod is running for mayor.
She’s not.
Reach on vacation Friday in Nova Scotia by The Bulldog, MacLeod dismissed the speculation that she had interest in the mayoral post.
MacLeod said she “appreciated” all the interest in a potential candidacy for herself but she has no interest in running for the office.
The former Progressive Conservative MPP for Nepean served in cabinet as minister for children and minister for heritage and tourism.
MacLeod has lots of experience at Ottawa City Hall in her role as an assistant to former Barrhaven councillor Jan Harder for many years.
