OPS Offers $75,000 Reward In Metcalfe Stabbing

This is a release from the Ottawa Police Service:

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is offering a $75,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for the fatal stabbing of Roger Dale Lusk, 66 years old.

On September 23, 2024, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Mr. Lusk was driving his pickup truck and left his residence on Ira Morgan Way in Metcalfe. A short distance away, he pulled over and interacted with a light grey or silver sedan. During this interaction, the front passenger of the sedan entered Mr. Lusk’s vehicle and stabbed him. The suspect then fled the scene in the same sedan.

A neighbour located Mr. Lusk a short time later and called 911. He was transported to hospital and succumbed to his injuries on October 5, 2024.

The OPS Homicide Unit’s investigation is ongoing.

Investigators believe there were at least two individuals in the suspect vehicle at the time of the attack. Surveillance footage and images of the suspect vehicle were released last year in an effort to generate tips from the public.
