Trump Damage Will Take Years To Fix: THE VOTER

The sad thing about Trump’s tariffs is that a lot of what he’s doing doesn’t have broad support across the country, even among some Republican voters.

That support will drop precipitously when the effects of the tariffs and cuts to government services start to be felt. It will take many years for future administrations to even begin to repair the damage both domestically and internationally.

Across the globe the reputation of the U.S. is in tatters and one can assume that little will be done to redeem it for the coming four years. The next president and Congress, assuming U.S. President Donald Trump allows elections to even happen, will face an incredible task to turn the ship around and try to rebuild systems that were decades in the making but are being destroyed in weeks and months.

That, of course, is assuming that Trump and his ilk won’t be in power four years from now. That is definitely not a sure thing.
