The “we-don’t-give-a-darn” meter at city hall is red lining.

I tried to walk the city hall talk earlier this week. Don’t drive. Take part in the active transit initiative. A brisk walk across Stately Centrepointe to Algonquin Station to catch a bus. Transfer to the LRT. Walk from the LRT station to a building on Elgin Street, near city hall, to attend a conference. Reverse the order in the evening. Let me tell you, it was a challenge. Not the physical part. That was easy. It was navigating the destruction on the roadways and sidewalks that was a challenge. Destruction as in the phase that occurs before construction.
