Are Councillors Campaigning Or Working? CRERAR

The incumbents always have the advantage at municipal election time.

Why? Because they have more time and resources to put into self-promotion. Councillors regularly update their Facebook pages, take advantage of every available photo-op, film cute videos, shake hands, kiss babies, and knock on doors in local neighbourhoods. Much of this is in the guise of collecting feedback to serve us all better. No wonder they have an advantage at election time.
