The FAQ page contains a list of statements. Is the audience supposed to guess what the question is as in a City of Ottawa tribute to Jeopardy?
From slide 4:
“Station construction will continue throughout Ward 7 in 2025, with many stations nearing completion in 2025.”
According to slide 3, five of the eight stations are more than 95% complete and the other three more than 75% done. They have more than nine months from the mid-March date of the slides to the end of the year which is more time than it takes a woman to create and ‘complete’ a baby. In normal English, 95% finished would be already be described as “nearing completion”. So what exactly are they doing for the next nine months?
Sisco,
Maybe they brought their own FAQ answers so that pesky residents wouldn’t ask any more questions. This was open to the public and you know what they can be like when they think they’re being ‘consulted’ or ‘informed’. Some people might even see it as a time to participate and seek information or clarification.
These are PPT slides so presumably someone was speaking to them and it’s more important to make sure the answer is ‘on script’ than what the actual questions are. We can’t have an opportunity for a staff person to stray from the party line, now can we? All about control!
