Don’t Let Sutcliffe Near Trains: GRAY

Mayor Mark Sutcliffe should not be allowed anywhere near trains. Not even close.
Sutcliffe supported putting the proposed Alto high-speed rail downtown. Just how much of downtown would be left if the new train occupies a 90-metre buffer zone? How many buildings would need to be knocked down? How would commuters, transit and pedestrians (including tourists) be able to cross the enormous swath?
The train can’t go underground because of the unstable ground there. Remember the downtown sinkholes caused by misguided politicians and city staffers who thought the O-Train should go underground.
