Queen Victoria took one look at Canada 170 years ago and made a momentous decision.

The Queen saw the nation-to-be with major founding peoples. And she was smart enough to understand that these founding people needed an anchor to bind them. An anchor they could build upon.

We’re sure she was informed that right where these three main founding cultures came together was a river community that included Chaudière Island, Victoria Island and lands known for centuries to First Nations as Asinabka.
