Guard Against Nepotism On City Boards: JONES

The City of Ottawa has a host of boards, commissions and agencies. Some are governed by members who are appointed from the community – usually serving alongside elected officials.

Now these organizations might seem innocuous but they rarely are. They are influencers. They have a lot of say in project locations, function, elements, architecture and other stuff. You won’t see or hear much about them but be very, very sure they have voices at city hall.
