Try Doing Your Job Well, Councillors: BENN

 

 

When you can’t complete the work you have, don’t look for more. A basic concept that is beyond the grasp of so many of our city councillors.

Councillors who can’t be bothered to oversee staff’s inability to supervise the basic responsibilities of the city are more than willing to ask staff take on frivolous distractions.

Basic responsibilities. Basic as in keeping existing infrastructure in good working order. Forget about keeping the roads smooth. Too late for that. Instead staff are trying to accomplish too much with too little. A city with an infrastructure funding shortfall that is a rounding error short of $11 billion.
