Let the municipal election ground-game begin.

May 1st, the first day candidates can file a nomination paper for the office of mayor, councillor, or school board trustee in this fall’s municipal election, has come and gone. That’s the formal starting gate for the city’s election campaign.

Now expect backroom activity to intensify and then present itself to the public over the next five-and-a-half months as canvassers hit the bricks to campaign on behalf of their candidate.
