Ottawa’s O-Train Running Again
This is a release from the City of Ottawa:
Good afternoon Mayor and Members of Council,
I am writing to advise you that full O-Train Line 1 service has now resumed. Rideau Transit Maintenance (RTM) were able to complete a splice repair to the Overhead Catenary System (OCS) near Lees Station and have completed all necessary inspections to confirm the system is safe to operate in the area. R1 bus service between Rideau and St-Laurent stations will conclude shortly.
To assist customers during this afternoon’s commute, OC Transpo has enhanced the number of S1 Shuttle Express buses operating between downtown and Blair Station.
Updates are being shared with customers through announcements on the trains, in stations, on social media, and OC Transpo’s other communications channels.
This was a complex situation that required our operational response to evolve. We are preparing further details on the response to this situation to share shortly.
We thank our customers for their patience while we worked to restore rail service.
Thank you,
Renée Amilcar

Restored … until further notice. We all know that’s a ‘when’; not an ‘if’ question.
