PWHL Charge Gets The Name Right

Ottawa’s new PWHL hockey team will be called the Charge.

Never has a name been more appropriate.

The federal government is wallowing in debt so god knows it needs a credit card.

And the municipal government is in debt, not in debt or great financial shape given the minute of day Mayor Mark Sutcliffe is speaking.

The name captures Ottawa … Charge … on your credit card… you bet.

Your agent has no idea what a Redblack is, or a 67 and the city has as much to do with Roman senators as it does Miami Beach in January.

But Charge, the hockey women got it dead right. The team logo should be a Visa card.

Kidding aside, best of luck Charge persons. It’s wonderful to see the growth of women’s sports and the Charge will be part of it.
