LRT Fleet Numbers Plunge: Ex-Transit Commish
Former transit commissioner Sarah Wright-Gilbert speculates on the end of the Confederation Line:
Meanwhile a source inside OC Transpo says nothing has been done to fix the axles and hub assemblies.
Instead of finding a solution to the breaking, OC Transpo just takes the axles and hub assemblies off long before their normal lifespan and replaces them with new ones.
The Transportation Safety Board said such a practice is inefficient and costly.
Their is also talk in OC Transpo that a councillor has been saying to anyone who will listen that a senior OC Transpo official will quit when the Trillium Line is completed. That finishing date is apparently been moved back into the winter.

There was an article today that Alstom is now going to repair the hub designs, where they were refusing to do so before today. Sadly, if you look at this in totality, Sarah may be right (or Wright)
Are the tracks complete enough to get from Tunney’s Pasture to Moodie? Even for just a one way trip?
Ron,
How did they get the cars (or their components) here in the first place? I seem to recall Watson showing the cars off to the media before the tracks were open but that could have been the new Trillium cars. Were they assembled here? Could they be trucked to Moodie? That would be a bit hard to hide though.
