A Lovely Highland Park Heritage Home … Burned

When I saw the story this morning of a fire in Highland Park in my old neighbourhood and its location, I was hoping it would not be this lovely building.

My hopes didn’t work out. Unfortunately, this home burned at Kenwood and Cole. Such a shame. I remember many years ago taking wonderful walks by it on humid, lazy summer evenings. A pity.

One of our most beautiful buildings in a gracious setting — gone.

Oh no! Know it well – I loved that house :-( I wonder is any of it is salvagable. It was built in an era when houses were made of sterner stuff than we see today. Let’s hope.

Yes, a very nice building for sure. But, it looks like the trees in front of the house took the brunt of the damage. I’m sure there was some damage to the inside of the house but because the structure is made of stone, someone may be able to salvage it.
