Balloongate: Is Leiper Trolling The Mayor?
You’re not campaigning if you don’t have balloons at your public announcements, Mayor Mark Sutcliffe told the media.
That said, mayoral candidate Jeff Leiper and his campaign honcho Stephen Yardy appear to be pleased to show their balloons. A bit of inside politics perhaps? Trolling maybe?

“A City That Works? I don’t think so. And one of the reasons the city doesn’t work is because of a city council that has been ineffective for, oh, let’s see, the last decade plus. And who has sat on city council during that period? Hmmm, Jeff Leiper. Maybe a better slogan would be “Make Ottawa Great Again!” although I doubt if you’ll find a candidate who will go anywhere near that one.
