City Helps Create Perfect Traffic Storm

The City of Ottawa is warning residents that the closure of the O-Train, Highway 417 around Preston Street and an Ottawa Redblacks game at Lansdowne Park on Friday.

The situation will cause “significant traffic and transit impacts.” The city adds in a press release that “If you are needing to travel, please expect delays and plan accordingly to allow for extra travel time.”

    Is OC Transpo putting on Extra Buses for that evening! What is the City plan to reduce the congestion as opposed to just announcing it!!

    Let’s not forget the south end folks heading to the redblacks game on Friday night. Bank street is all dug from billings bridge to riverdale. Can’t get their by car, can’t get their by bike, can’t get their by walking, can’t get their by transit.
