A “benefit” of citing confidentiality is remaining unaccountable. Unaccountable is a key tenet of the current state of governance in this country, at all levels.
In this case, the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, the principal and vice principal of Pinecrest Elementary School remain unaccountable for the state of affairs at that institution. That the students may or may not be at risk on a daily basis … just collateral damage.
