This is the recording of the bombshell question posed by Capital Councillor Shawn Menard at Thursday’s planning committee about rumours he’d heard about Taggart paying the salaries of city staff working on its controversial Tewin project:

It’s pretty humourous that one formulation of the CODE OF ETHICS for Ottawa still displays that picture and name of Mr. Kanellakis, one of the “Trickster Trio”—Watson & Mangione being the other two— who landed us with their legacy LRT project of “ deliberate malfeasance.”
There are so many sad, disgusting, hidden things going on in our city! I’m very thankful for all the truth seekers, those who ask questions and press for answers. I guess now that we have, for example, the Taggart Family tag on the front of the YMCA, it’s not out of the question that we will add something similar to the name of our city. How about “OSEG Ottawa?”
