At the moment, it seems that the “test” is whether or not the train can make it from one end of the track to the other in a specified time frame without anything untoward happening. It only has to leave the terminus stations on time, not any of the others, and is running empty so isn’t measuring what will happen when actual passengers are getting on and off.
The daily barrage of information is to stop anyone from saying that they’re withholding the data from us. They don’t understand the concept of a happy medium.
