Ford’s obviously thinking ahead because, after these refugees have spent the winter in tents, they’re going to need healthcare.
A tent city in Ottawa, just like the refugee camps back home. This should make the transition to life in Canada less stressful, and a LOT colder. Back to the drawing board for a better solution than this.
I believe a correction is required. A refugee is NOT an asylum seeker. I hope the news will get this right. Governments do not house asylum seekers as a planned program, asylum seekers pop up out of “nowhere” by planes, trains, automobiles, boats and by foot. They are a problem as they claim they are unsafe/under threat unless we take them in.
Refugees are organized by governments and brought in carefully. They are assembled and documented. They get the basic needs met until the next stage in the official process.
The city stated the sprung shelters are for the asylum seekers that just show up. Not refugees already vetted.
Please tell me if I got the sprung shelter purpose incorrect, as I saw it incorrectly reported in early July, then correctly mid July, and now incorrectly reported.
