Safety Has Not Been Job 1 At OC Transpo

Sadly, history shows that’s not the case.

Two major and deadly bus crashes. A number of derailments on the Confederation LRT Line.

This week the province announced an inquest into the deaths of three people at the horrific Westboro bus crash.

It’s hard to explain why OC Transpo continues to say this when the public knows differently. A slick PR person would tell OC Transpo not to address the issue of safety. Transpo’s safety legacy is one of deaths, maiming, traumatizing, injuring and crippling.

No doubt the inquest coroner will have more to say about that.
