Still too much …

Ottawa city councillors will debate an increase of 60 per cent to a senior’s monthly transit pass or $78.50 each month up from $49 and approved by the transit commission.

Of course, it is expected that council’s debate will see that increase drop yet again. The final percentage will have the mayor and councillors patting each other on the back for a job well done … superheroes looking out for the less fortunate. Right.

Seniors must not be expected to shoulder OC Transpo’s financial mismanagement nor should there be an increase of any amount to a senior’s monthly transit pass. They’ve already paid their dues.
